Finland Delegation Visits NUTECH

NUTECH has been established to promote and implement best TVET practices for socio-economic development of the country. NUTECH is in process of collaborating with different international institutes / organizations which are known for their best TVET system and its implementation. In this context, a team of NUTECH visited Finland last year. The major purpose of the visit was to study the Finland educational system and to develop area of understanding and joint collaboration.

Sequel to the above visit, 4 x member Finland delegation visited NUTECH from 2-5 March, 2020 with an aim to forge a long-term partnership and to explore avenues of collaboration in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The team visited university’s labs, classrooms and skills development directorate. During their stay, the team also visited NAVTTC headquarter and held discussions on future collaborations in skills sector. The team also visited NUTECH’s affliated institute CTTI. A visit to Shifa International Hospital was also undertaken. The team also met with Minister of Education and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs and held wide-ranging discussions on providing skills to the youth of Pakistan. On the last day, an MOU was signed between NUTECH, Shifa International Hospital and TAI. This MOU will be further translated into an action plan, which will enable the students and faculty to take part in skills competition, joined workshops/ symposium, exchange and designing of skills curriculum, teachers/students trainings, employment opportunities, and joined certification skills courses.
