National University of Technology (NUTECH) First Undergraduate Convocation

The National University of Technology (NUTECH) held its first convocation at NUTECH Campus, Islamabad on 8 November 2022.  The President of Pakistan and Chancellor of the University, Dr. Arif Alvi graced the occasion as chief guest.  A large number of dignitaries, faculty members, students, and their parents attended the event. Several leaders from Industry also attended the convocation ceremony. In his welcome remarks, Rector NUTECH Lt Gen Moazzam Ejaz (R), HI (M), congratulated graduating students on the successful completion of their degree programs and highlighted the importance of industry-academia-linkage in strengthening the national economy. He also paid tribute to Founding Rector Lt Gen Khalid Asghar (R), HI (M), parents, and faculty members, while emphasizing that parents are the true high achievers of this ceremony. Rector highlighted that NUTECH has embarked upon its academic journey founded on the best international education and industry linkages models with a focus on industrial applications of technology.

President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi conferred medals and degrees to successful graduates. A total of 101 Undergraduate students were conferred degrees in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Delivering his convocation address, the chief guest congratulated the graduating students on being part of such a revolutionary institution and lauded the role and hard work of NUTECH management, and highlighted that the future belongs to technology and skills, hence the NUTECH’s role in the sustainable industrial and economic growth of Pakistan is vital. The President emphasized the youth to always aim high and strive for excellence with sheer hard work and dignity in line with Quaid’s vision.  The graduates of NUTECH will be among the pioneers in bringing the indigenous technological revolution to Pakistan soon, Insha’Allah.
