Public Awareness Activity About Nonuse of Plastic Bags

To increase public awareness and understanding among travelers on the dangers of using plastic bags and the importance of using paper/cloth bags, students of PM’s Green Youth Movement Club from the National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad, visited a local bus terminal on 20 Jan 2023.The students distributed specially designed paper bags and information leaflets highlighting the issue of plastic pollution, its causes, effects and possible solution among the passengers at the bus stand. The passengers and the management appreciated the students’ efforts and resolved to use paper bags and minimize the use of plastic bags for a healthier, pollution-free environment and a clean & green Pakistan.
