I am Saima Yasmeen, a Lecturer in the Computer Science Department at NUTECH University, Islamabad. With a strong academic background and industry experience, my primary research interests lie in Image Processing and Deep Learning. I am particularly focused on exploring AI-based solutions to solve complex real-world problems, with a specialization in image restoration. My research has centered on developing lightweight pyramid and attention-based networks for SAR image despeckling. As an educator, I aim to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation while equipping them with practical skills to thrive in the ever-evolving field of computer science.

My research is focused on Image Processing and Deep Learning, with a major emphasis on Image Restoration. I have published a journal article titled "PAN-DeSpeck: A Lightweight Pyramid and Attention-Based Network for SAR Image Despeckling" (Yasmeen et al., 2023) in Computers, Materials & Continua. This work introduces a deep learning-based approach for effectively reducing speckle noise in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images, contributing to advancements in the field of image restoration using AI-driven models.

My research is centered on the intersection of Image Processing, Deep Learning, and their applications in real-world challenges. I am currently exploring AI-driven solutions in the field of image restoration and medical imaging, with a particular focus on developing deep learning models for improved diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I am actively working on several research projects that apply machine learning and computer vision techniques to healthcare.
