On 10th October 2024, the National University of Technology (NUTECH) commemorated World Mental Health Day with a thought-provoking awareness session aimed at promoting mental wellness and destigmatizing mental health conversations. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs, the event brought together students and staff who actively engaged with the Student Counsellor on strategies for maintaining a healthy mind, recognizing early signs of distress, and exploring available support resources. In this activity-based session the attendees devised their three-sectioned well-being plan which emphasized strategies and resources to maintain general well-being, how to navigate the challenging times and how to seek support. The session also emphasized the importance of self-awareness, stress management, building resilience, empathy and encouraging participants to prioritize their mental well-being and foster a supportive campus community.
