NUTECH Showcases Cutting-Edge Projects at 19th My Karachi Expo, Aims to Boost Karachi’s Industrial Exports

The National University of Technology (NUTECH) made a strong impression at the 19th My Karachi Expo, held from August 2 to 4, 2024 at the Karachi Expo Center. The university’s innovative projects and technologies drew keen interest from a wide range of visitors, including prominent industrialists, diplomats, professionals, and citizens of Karachi. NUTECH’s participation in the expo highlighted its commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable technology. The university’s booth emerged as a focal point, attracting numerous dignitaries over the course of the three-day exhibition.

On August 2, NUTECH’s Pro-Rector, Maj Gen (Rtd) Khalid Javed, engaged in discussions with Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, as well as the Managing Director of STEVTA, Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, regarding future collaborations. On August 4, the Director of NORIC (Research) delivered a keynote speech on Green Entrepreneurship, Climate Technology, and Eco-Friendly Innovation during a seminar on Sustainable Technology. The UAE Consul General also visited the NUTECH booth, praising the university’s innovative projects. The expo was inaugurated by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, who commended the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for organizing this prestigious event. Throughout the event, NUTECH’s booth welcomed a host of high-profile guests, including the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Mr. Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh; notable industrialist and Chairman of the BMG Group, Zubair Motiwala; the President of KCCI, Iftikhar Ahmed; and the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, among others. NUTECH’s participation in the 19th My Karachi Expo underscored its commitment to driving progress and development in various sectors. Additionally, the university aims to collaborate with industry partners to improve the export capabilities of Karachi’s industries, with a goal of increasing annual exports by $10 billion. The university looks forward to building on the connections and discussions initiated during the expo to drive future growth and development in Karachi and industry
