NUTECH Together with Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) – Launching of Special Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign

NUTECH office of Student Affairs (OSA) organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign on 23 Oct 2024 in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). The campaign aimed to spread awareness among students about drug usage and its harmful effects on our mental, physical, social, and economic lives.

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) is Pakistan’s premier agency dedicated to eradicating drug trafficking and substance abuse within the country and it remains committed to the cause of a Drug-Free Pakistan under the motto “One Nation, One Destination” and Drug-Free Pakistan. The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in partnership with NUTECH is working tirelessly to combat the drug epidemic through conducting educational initiatives like lectures, seminars, awareness walks, and publicity material distribution at the University.

Guest speaker, Dr. Zara Kiran, a renowned expert in the field of narcotics control and public health shared her insights and perspective on the current challenges and innovative solutions in the fight against narcotics. She shared certain alarming data about drug production and its usage among students. She highlighted the several causes observed in the young generations to go towards drug addiction. She emphasized the severe mental, physical, social, and economic consequences of drug abuse and focused on the preventative measures against the drugs.

In the end, the session concluded with a question and answer session followed by an awareness walk on the premises of the university. Through this awareness walk, NUTECH students and faculty came together as a community. The enthusiastic participation from students and faculty reinforced NUTECH’s commitment to creating a Drug-Free Pakistan and showed their commitment to a drug-free society.
