NUTECH Centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Technologies (NUCRAIT) is a platform for applied research to proffer innovative industrial solutions based on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies while supporting quality education at NUTECH in such a way that it enhances the students experience.
The purpose of this lab is to provide the foundation knowledge of communication systems, understanding and practical implementation of Computer Networks and Internet of Things.
The Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Controls Lab of the Computer Engineering Department is equipped with
state-of-the-art equipment from world’s renowned companies. The lab is established to cater for the training and research needs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the cutting-edge fields of AI, Robotics and Control Systems. The lab also has the facilities and equipment to work in future technology of Virtual Reality.
The learning objectives of this lab include familiarization with simple logic gates and classical microprocessors to advanced embedded systems like microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
To familiarize students with the basic concepts, terminologies and types of embedded systems.
To give students an understanding of the embedded system architecture and its design flow.
Design and develop embedded systems based on microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSPs and FPGAs
Interfacing different embedded systems with PC through National Instruments products NI DAQ Modules and LabView
Equipped with modern prototyping equipment like 3D Printers, PCB Machines, different evaluation boards and test
equipment; the design lab of the computer engineering department facilitates students by providing an environment where students can design their engineering projects and develop prototypes for their semester as well as capstone projects.
