Mr. Syed Aizaz Hussain Shah

Junior Lab Engineer (CS)

Introduction

I am Syed Aizaz Hussain Shah, a Junior Lab Engineer in the Department of Computer Science at Nutech University. My primary research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. I am passionate about exploring how data-driven models can solve real-world problems. I employ an interactive teaching style that encourages critical thinking and hands-on experimentation, ensuring that students not only grasp theoretical concepts but also apply them in practical scenarios. I believe in nurturing curiosity and creativity among learners, empowering them to explore new ideas and technologies.

Qualification

  • Academia:
    • M.Sc. in Computer Science, NUTECH University (2024)
    • B.Sc. in Computer Science, NUTECH University (2022)
  • Certifications:
    • Cisco Packet Tracer, Cisco (2022)
    • Google Cybersecurity Professional, Coursera (2023)

Research

My research focuses on the detection of small objects with drone video. Utilized YOLOv8 model, trained on VISDRONE dataset, to develop a system for detecting small objects in drone captured videos, enhancing real time monitoring and object recognition capabilities.

Projects

  • Augmented Reality for 3D Scanned Objects (2022): Developed an android application using Augmented Reality to promote archeological sites. This application enhances visitor experience by proving interactive 3D scans and detailed information about the objects.
  • Distance Measuring using Stereo Cameras (2019): This system utilizes two synchronized cameras to capture images from slightly different viewpoints, mimicking human binocular vision. By analyzing disparity between the images from the two cameras, the system accurately computes the distance to the objects, providing precise depth information.
