I am Alina Maryum, a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at NUTECH. With over 3 years of experience in academia, my primary research interests lie in Machine learning and Digital image processing and Deep learning. I am passionate about exploring how CNN models can solve real-world problems, particularly in healthcare.

I have taught a variety of undergraduate courses in the Computer Science Department. Below are the courses I have been involved in teaching:
- Programming Fundamentals
An introductory course focusing on programming concepts using C++, covering topics such as variables, control structures, functions, and basic data structures.
- Object Oriented Programming
A core course that covers fundamental OOP concepts such as classes and objects and basic pillars of OOP.
- Artificial Intelligence Lab
A course covering the principles and techniques of AI and their implementation in python programming language.
- Applications of Information and Communication Technologies
A basic and introductory course focused on the history, new trends and advancements in communication technologies.
- Digital Logic and Design
A course that explores binary logic and logic gates and their application as multiplexers, decoders, flip flops and counters etc..
- Database Systems
A course exploring the concept of database and the basic operations of database using SQL queries.
Research
My research focuses on the intersection of machine learning, digital image processing, and deep learning. I am currently working on my PhD project that applies DL techniques to healthcare, for predicting osteoporosis.
