Pakistan Railway and Ministry of Railways Delegation Visits NUTECH

A delegation headed by Mr. Shahruk Afshar AGM-I, Pak Railways Lahore visited NUTECH on 22 Sep 2020. The delegates were briefed about the NUTECH vision, mission and NUTECH Railway Engineering Technologies & Skills School (NURETSS). Matters of mutual interest including digitalization revamping of communication infrastructure, capacity building, human resource development training, restructuring/organization and strategic collaboration for the development of ML-1,2 & 3 projects were discussed during the meeting. Later, the delegation accompanied by Pro-Rector Maj Gen Khalid Javed and AVM Rana Anees visited NUTECH labs and classrooms. At the occasion, Mr. Zafar Zaman Ranjha, DG Walton Pak Railways, Lahore, Mr. Sarmad Mukhtar Dy Dir Rolling Stock were also present. Pak Railways as strategic national institution, transportation service & engineering industry must be taken out of the era of 2^nd industrial revolution, transformed & developed for embracing 4^th industrial revolution based emerging technologies so as to play lead role in the national industrial & economic development of Pakistan. Strategic cooperation and partnership between NUTECH and Pak Railways through the establishment of NURETSS will facilitate speedy development of Pak railways, national industry and economy.
