High-Level Delegation Visit from ABAD (Association of Builders & Developers) Hosted by National University of Technology (NUTECH) to Discuss Strategic Collaboration for National Workforce Development

May 22, 2025

NUTECH had the honor of hosting its esteemed Chairman, Mr. Hasan Bakhshi, accompanied by a distinguished delegation from the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), including Mr. Syed Afzal Hameed, Senior Vice Chairman ABAD, Mr. Tariq Aziz, Vice Chairman ABAD, and Mr. Awais Ahmed Thanvi, Chairman ABAD South Region.

The high-level discussions centered around a shared vision to develop an educational framework capable of producing a skilled, industry-ready workforce aligned with the evolving demands of Pakistan's construction sector. A major focus was placed on addressing unemployment challenges faced by talented but financially underprivileged students through practical education and hands-on training.

The leadership of both NUTECH and ABAD underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Comprehensive discussions took place on curriculum design, technical skills development, and joint initiatives to advance the construction industry and support economic growth.

In a significant development, ABAD expressed its intent to facilitate students enrolled in NUTECH BET Civil program. This support may include internships, industry exposure, mentorship, and possible job placement opportunities, enabling students to gain real-world experience and enhance their employability within the construction sector.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to pursue impactful and long-term initiatives that benefit both the national education system and the construction workforce landscape.
