NUTECH, in collaboration with FF Steel, successfully organized Industrial Symposium 2026, underscoring the transformative impact of industry-driven academic research and strengthened academia–industry partnerships. Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with senior industry leaders, policymakers, and distinguished members of the academic community.
The symposium commenced with opening remarks by the Pro-Rector (NORIC), who briefed the audience about NUTECH continued efforts to align academic research with industry requirements and deliver practical, solution-oriented outcomes. Chairman FF Steel Senator Mr. Nauman Wazir congratulated the NUTECH team and highlighted the importance of translating research into viable industrial solutions. He stressed the need to bridge the existing gap between academia and industry through sustained collaboration. As Chief Guest, Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, appreciated NUTECH’s pioneering role in transforming the industrial innovation landscape and bridging the academia–industry divide. He further emphasized the Government’s vital role in strengthening such partnerships to ensure national industrial growth. Later, NUTECH’s research team and FF Steel engineers jointly presented key projects, including enhanced corrosion-resistant steel alloy rebars and an innovative rebar counting software.
The successful symposium reaffirmed the NUTECH’s commitment to encourage impactful collaboration, strategic partnerships and contributing towards a stronger and safer Pakistan.
