NUTECH led a collaborative guest talk, in partnership with the Pakistan Climate Change Authority (PCCA) and AI Geo Navigators (Pvt.) Ltd., titled “Breaking the Barriers between Academia, Industry, and National Authority for a Climate-Resilient Pakistan.” The event highlighted NUTECH’s leading role in climate research, AI-driven analytics, and ICT-enabled solutions for climate resilience. The program brought together senior representatives from PCCA, academia, industry, and international institutions to strengthen coordination between research, technology, and national climate priorities.
Dr. Rafiq and Dr. Saadullah of PCCA, speaking on behalf of Dr. Qadir Shah, emphasized the importance of strong institutional coordination to address climate challenges. The keynote address by Dr. Haider A. Khwaja (University at Albany, SUNY, USA) highlighted the links between climate change, environmental quality, and public health. Dr. Junaid Ahmad, Executive Engineer from the Ministry of Water Resources, also participated, strengthening the connection between research and national infrastructure planning. A technology showcase by Mr. Asim Javed, CEO of AI Geo Navigators, presented AI and geospatial platforms for climate risk assessment, environmental monitoring, and resilience planning.
The event was organized under the leadership of Engr. Prof. Dr. Marium Jalal Chaudhary (T.I I) of NUTECH. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khurram delivered the vote of thanks, while Pro Rector NUTECH, Gen. Khurram, distributed souvenirs among the guests. The event reaffirmed NUTECH’s central role in connecting academia, industry, and government to advance a data-driven and climate-resilient future for Pakistan.
