NUTECH and IST formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing scientific knowledge, technological innovation, and academic research to support national industry and socio-economic development of Pakistan. Rector NUTECH, Vice Chancellor IST Dr Syed Najeeb graced the occasion along with Registrar’s of both the Universities.
Under the MoU, both institutions will undertake programs to enhance the intellectual and professional capacity of faculty and students through seminars, workshops, skill development activities, innovation exchange, and participation in academic and professional forums. The partnership also includes sharing of academic expertise in faculty guidance, curriculum development, technical mentorship, and research supervision to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes. Joint industrial research projects, including applied and commercial research, co-supervision of student projects, joint publications, and patent filings, were also included. Additionally, NUTECH and IST will jointly participate in industrial expos and seminars to showcase collaborative and individual projects. The MoU also outlines cooperation in establishing a Digital Learning Platform (DLP) to facilitate online and blended learning, as well as the introduction of industry-recognized commercial certifications and professional diploma programs aligned with national and international industry requirements.
