NUTECH Joins Hands with ANF for Anti-Drug Awareness

The National University of Technology (NUTECH), through its Office of Student Affairs (OSA), organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Symposium in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the detrimental effects of drug abuse on mental, physical, social, and economic well-being.
The symposium is part of a broader partnership between NUTECH and ANF to combat the growing challenge of drug abuse through educational initiatives, including lectures, seminars, awareness walks, and the distribution of informative materials across the University.
The guest speaker, Dr. Zara Kiran, a renowned expert in narcotics control and public health, shared valuable insights on the current trends, challenges, and preventive strategies in the fight against drugs. She presented alarming statistics on drug use among youth and highlighted various social and psychological factors that lead young individuals toward substance abuse. Dr. Kiran underscored the severe consequences of drug addiction and emphasized the importance of proactive preventive measures within educational institutions.
The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where students and faculty actively participated and reflected on NUTECH’s strong commitment to developing a Drug-Free Campus and contributing to the vision of a Drug-Free Pakistan
