The Green Youth Movement Club, under the supervision of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at the National University of Technology (NUTECH), organized a Sustainability and Climate Solutions Symposium focusing on the critical theme “Water Crisis in Pakistan”. The symposium aimed to develop awareness, promote environmental responsibility, and encourage young minds to contribute innovative solutions for a sustainable future. The event brought together environmental experts, innovators, and students to discuss the growing challenges of water scarcity, sustainable resource management, and the role of youth in combating climate change.
Distinguished panelists included Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain CEO of Global Environmental Network for Innovation and Intelligence, Ms. Maira Razzak, Environmental Engineer, Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) Coordinator and Mr. Syed Asghar Ali, Assistant Manager Sustainability at NUST. The speakers shared their perspectives on sustainable water management, climate resilience, and the importance of proactive youth leadership in addressing Pakistan’s environmental challenges. The interactive discussions highlighted the urgent need for integrated water management, effective conservation strategies, and increased public awareness to address the growing challenges posed by climate change.
Adding to the symposium’s impact, Ecobricks, Relife.pk Company, Quaid-e-Azam University, and NUMS University, along with NUTECH Green Youth Movement Club students, exhibited innovative models focused on sustainable water usage, waste reduction, and renewable solutions reflecting the University’s emphasis on practical learning, creativity, and climate-friendly technologies.
The event provided a platform for students, researchers, and policymakers to exchange ideas, highlight innovative water-saving practices, and reaffirm NUTECH’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action.
