The National University of Technology (NUTECH) actively participated in the week-long celebrations marking the 29th of October, the Republic Day of Türkiye, being commemorated nationwide under the directive of the Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), in collaboration with the Turkish Embassy, organized a series of cultural and educational events to celebrate the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
As part of the activities, NUTECH students and faculty members attended a Turkish Music Concert held at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA). The participation provided students with a valuable cultural exposure and an opportunity to experience traditional Turkish musical art forms. In addition, NUTECH students also took part in the screening of Turkish films at PNCA, which offered insights into Türkiye’s cultural heritage, cinematic creativity, and societal values. These engagements provided meaningful avenues for academic exchange, cultural appreciation, and people-to-people connectivity between the two nations. To further express solidarity and commemorate the occasion, NUTECH also displayed congratulatory banners on campus and shared official greetings on digital platforms.
NUTECH’s involvement in the Republic Day celebrations underscores its commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Türkiye, particularly in the areas of education, research, and cultural exchange.
