NUTECH partners with NAVTTC and PM “Kamyab Jawan” Program under SAPM Mr Usman Dar for Skilling of Pakistani Youth

In order to skill Pakistani youth for economic development of Pakistan and the socio-economic uplift of the nation, Prime Minister, Mr Imran had recently announced “Kamyab Jawan” program involving Rs 100.00 billion over next 3-5 years. KJ’s launching ceremony was performed on 09th January, 2020.  NAVTTC has translated this program into a Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) with a PC-1 of Rs 9.84 Billiom spread over 20 months. The SIP aims at skilling 1,70,000 youth in Hi-Tech and Conventional Skills. NUTECH as a strategic partner of NAVTTC is playing leading role in successful implementation of “Kamyab Jawan” program.                

Mr. Usman Dar Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs inaugurated launching of hi-tech courses under Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Program at NUTECH today. This program aims to prepare Pakistani youth in hi-tech and conventional skills including digital skills, financial inclusion, social entrepreneurship and micro-business support for employment and economic empowerment of youth. The honorable guest was briefed about the Kamyab Jawan program hi-tech courses offered by NUTECH Skills Development Department (NSDD) which includes Computer Graphics (UI/UX), Cloud Computing, Robotics, Mobile App Development and IOT (Internet of Things).

 After the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Dar addressed the faculty, support staff and students wherein he applauded the role and hard work of NUTECH and NAVTTC for successful launching of Kamyaab Jawan program and providing the highly professional environment within the state of the art campus for the said purpose. The honorable guest professed that this program will multiply skilled manpower and increase employability of the youth. While addressing the faculty and students he said that the government is making serious efforts for youth inclusivity in economic development of the country. He further stressed that to make Kamyab Jawan Program a successful initiative, its merit, standard and transparency must be ensured at all cost.

Earlier on arrival at National University of Technology, SAPM was received by Rector of the University Lieutenant General (Retired) Khalid Asghar. At the occasion, representatives from Ministry of Science & Technology, NAVTTC, IBCC, Punjab-TEVTA, KP-TEVTA, and different industries were also present.

As partner of KJ program and modern universities of higher education, NUTECH envisions to create leaders of characters for industry and skilled workforce for economic development of Pakistan. The university has hired highly qualified professionals from industry and developed state of art labs equipped with hi-tech machines to facilitate the students and prepare them for the industry which fulfills the motto as “University for the Industry”. The initiative of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Program along with NUTECH support will contribute in strengthening the unemployed and marginalized youth of the country while enhancing their and Pakistan’s economic wellbeing.
