Sudanese Engineers Receive Certificates under NUTECH - OIC- COMSTECH Collaborative Program

The Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the specialized technical training program for Sudanese engineers, jointly organized by OIC-COMSTECH and the National University of Technology (NUTECH), was held on 13 Jan 2026. Certificates were awarded to 20 Sudanese Engineers who successfully completed the CAD/CAM/CNC Operations and Machine Building Course hosted at NUTECH under COMSTECH’s sponsorship. The program provided intensive hands-on training in modern manufacturing technologies, including computer-aided design and manufacturing, CNC operations, and machine building, equipping participants with industry-relevant technical skills.

H.E. Salih Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Siddig, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Pakistan, graced the occasion as a Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH, Engr. Moazzam Ejaz, Rector NUTECH, along with senior officials from Sudan Embassy also attended the event. 

Chief Guest H.E. Salih Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Siddig, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Pakistan, commended NUTECH and COMSTECH for their efforts in providing high-quality technical training and emphasized the importance of equipping Sudanese engineers with advanced skills to support the country’s industrial and technological development. In his remarks, Rector NUTECH, highlighted the University’s focus on hands-on, practical training aligned with modern industrial needs. He reaffirmed NUTECH’s commitment in partnership with OIC-COMSTECH to supporting international capacity-building programs and expressed confidence that the trained engineers would contribute effectively to industrial development in Sudan. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH emphasized that COMSTECH remains committed to promoting human resource development, applied research, and technology transfer across OIC countries. He stated that such training initiatives are designed to equip young professionals with industry-relevant skills and to foster long-term academic and technical collaboration among member states. Ambassador Mr. Aftab Ahmad Khokher, Assistant Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Science and Technology, appreciated the COMSTECH–NUTECH joint training initiative, stating that such collaborative programs play a vital role in strengthening capacity building, promoting scientific cooperation, and enhancing technical skills among professionals from OIC member states.
