Introduction

I am Farrukh Hussain, currently working as a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at NUTECH. Major activities revolve around teaching, guiding students and contributing towards academic and research activities in the field of mechanical engineering in particular thermal energy systems and material sciences. My focus includes sharing knowledge, developing innovative teaching strategies, and fostering a learning environment for students.

    • Advise graduate students on research projects related to materials and thermal energy systems

I have started my teaching journey by taughting undergraduate level courses in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Below are the courses I have been involved in teaching:

  • Thermodynamics
    Focuses on the principles of energy, heat, and work, and their applications in analyzing thermodynamic systems and processes.
  • Engineering Materials
    Focuses on basics of engineering materials, crystallography, failure mechanisms and phase transformations. Real world applications of alloys, composites, polymers and ceramics.
