Services and Technologies to protect the computing resources and data of the University. Desktop setup, mobile device management, authentication systems, anti-malware software, firewalls, and network monitoring are all services provided to the University by ICT.

  • Make effective password management a habit.
  • Always be cautious when opening attachments or clicking on links in emails.
  • Banking and shopping, for example, should only be done on a device that belongs to you and on a network that you trust.
  • Make regular backups of your data.
  • On your computer, run a virus scanner.
  • Keep an eye on what you connect to your computer.
  • Keep an eye on what you post on social media.
  • Offline, be aware of social engineering, which is when someone manipulates you to get information from you.
  • Keep an eye on your accounts for any unusual behavior.

Centralized Antivirus Solution  

For MacOS devices, the ICT anti-malware service. This programmed guards your computer against viruses, spyware, and other forms of hazardous software.

ICT provides anti-malware solution for Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019. Kaspersky protects against modern computer and network attacks with powerful defensive capabilities. It uses a comprehensive set of behavioral models to replace standard signature-based anti-malware, allowing it to detect advanced and innovative threats.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

To facilitate faculty, approved research students and administrative staff, Off-Campus Virtual Private Network (VPN) has been established for access to HEC Digital Library (DL) resources and to search/locate books through OPAC. These resources can be accessed even from outside of the NUTECH University as well.

Secure Socket Layer Certificates (SSL)

A signed electronic assurance that confirms the validity of a particular server is known as an SSL certificate. It is used to deliver web pages via a secure connection. Any SSL-enabled service, including any web server serving encrypted or “secure” information, requires a certificate.
