The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at NUTECH organized an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Symposium to raise awareness about drug abuse and its impact on individual health and society. The session featured Brig Faisal Qayyum, Regional Directorate Commander, ANF (North), and Dr. Zara Kiran, who highlighted emerging challenges, alarming trends among youth, and preventive strategies against substance abuse. The speakers discussed the psychological, social, physical, and economic consequences of drug addiction, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in prevention.
The symposium also reinforced NUTECH’s ongoing collaboration with ANF through awareness initiatives aimed at addressing drug abuse within the university community. An interactive question-and-answer session encouraged student and faculty participation, reaffirming NUTECH’s commitment to promoting a drug-free campus and supporting the vision of a Drug-Free Pakistan.
