Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Visit National University of Technology (NUTECH)

Chairman NAVTTC, Engr. Qamar-ul- Islam Raja, accompanied by Ms. Nadya Karim Shaw, visited NUTECH to review its initiatives in Technical and Vocational Education and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration. The delegation was briefed on NUTECH's vision as a "University for Industry," its ongoing collaboration with NAVTTC, and its comprehensive approach to skills education, technical training, and workforce development. The delegation was also apprised of NUTECH's efforts to align education with industry needs through innovative and market-driven training programs.

The meeting included detailed discussions on establishing joint Centers of Excellence, obtaining international accreditations, promoting the export of skilled manpower through NUTECH's Overseas Employment Promoter (OEP) Licence, transforming the image of the TVET sector, establishing emerging technology laboratories, and expanding Training of Trainers (TOT) programs to strengthen the national skills ecosystem.

Following the meeting, the Chairman also visited NUTECH’s laboratories, NUTECH’s Skills and Development Department (NSDD), the NUTECH Innovation Center (NIC), and the NUTECH Entrepreneur and Incubation Centre (NEIC). He reaffirmed NAVTTC's commitment to further strengthening collaboration with NUTECH to promote quality skills education, technological advancement, and sustainable economic growth.
