Empowering Women Through Voter Awareness and Electoral Education Session Organized at National University of Technology (NUTECH)

Jul 10, 2026

NUTECH organized an awareness session to educate female faculty, support staff and students about the importance of electoral participation and the role of the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) in exercising their constitutional right to vote. The session was addressed by Ms. Azra Gul, Executive Director of the Pakistan Women Association, and Ms. Asfa, Representative of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). They highlighted the significance of informed voting and encouraged women to become active participants in the democratic process.

A key feature of the event was a comprehensive demonstration of the voting process. Participants were guided through each step, from voter identification and ballot casting to ensuring their vote is correctly recorded. The practical demonstration enhanced participants' understanding of election procedures, addressed common questions, and built confidence in voting independently. The session reflected NUTECH's commitment to promoting civic awareness, democratic values, and women's meaningful participation in elections.
