Global Youth for Health Awareness (GYFHA) NUTECH Local Council, organized a Thalassemia Awareness Seminar. The event aimed to educate students about the genetic transmission of thalassemia and emphasize the importance of premarital carrier testing to promote a thalassemia-free Pakistan. The seminar featured a talk by Ms. Imaan Khan, Community Health Coordinator, highlighting preventive awareness and community responsibility. Dr. Sadia Atif, NUTECH Medical Officer, addressed students on early diagnosis and medical screening of Thalassemia. The NUTECH Drama Club performed a skit to creatively illustrate the social and emotional impact of thalassemia. The session concluded with interactive discussions, encouraging students to become health advocates within their communities.
