IEEE NUTECH Student Branch, operating under the Electrical Engineering Department at NUTECH, successfully organized the IEEE POCO Workshop 2026 in Islamabad. The workshop brought together 30–40 participants from various universities to enhance understanding of IEEE conference organization, publication standards, and professional practices. The event was graced by Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and highlighted the importance of quality research and conference management within the IEEE community.
The workshop featured comprehensive sessions on IEEE SOPs, conference lifecycle management, budgeting and financial planning, reviewer selection and audit processes, IEEE Xplore publication procedures, plagiarism awareness, and volunteer engagement. Participants also gained insights from practical experiences shared during discussions on IEEE conferences and academic event management, making the workshop an informative and professionally enriching experience for aspiring researchers and student volunteers.
