National University of Technology (NUTECH) Holds Send-Off Ceremony for 71 Students Departing for China Under Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Program

NUTECH organized a Send-Off Ceremony for 71 DAE students proceeding to China under the Sino-Pak (2+1) Dual Diploma Program in Emerging Technologies, after successfully completing two years of academic and technical education at NUTECH. The program represents a significant milestone in Pakistan-China educational cooperation and provides Pakistani youth with international exposure, advanced technical expertise, and globally recognized qualifications. Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, graced the ceremony as a Chief Guest alongwith Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Engr. Qamar-ul-Islam Raja, as a Guest of Honour and distinguish guest Mr. Cheng Peng Cultural Counselor of China in Pakistan.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman NAVTTC Engr. Mr. Qamar-ul-Islam Raja appreciated NUTECH’s efforts to create international learning opportunities for Pakistani youth. He highlighted the importance of developing market-oriented technical skills to enhance employability, technological competence, and competitiveness in the global workforce. Chief Guest Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan congratulated the students and urged them to utilize the opportunity effectively while upholding Pakistan’s positive image abroad. The Chinese Ambassador reaffirmed the longstanding Pakistan-China friendship and emphasized the role of educational and skills-based collaboration in strengthening bilateral ties.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates among the best students. The Sino-Pak (2+1) Dual Diploma Program reflects NUTECH’s commitment to equipping Pakistani youth with advanced technical skills and international qualifications, enhancing their employability and contributing to Pakistan’s technological development.

Earlier, Send-Off Ceremony, Chairman PMYP, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was briefed about NUTECH. He also visited NUTECH campus, labs, NUTECH Skills Development Department (NSDD), NUTECH Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center (NEIC) and Office of Student Affairs (OSA) where he was told about various academic, research, entrepreneurship, and skills-development initiatives.
