National University of Technology (NUTECH) Showcases AI and Robotics Innovations at Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Expo 2026

NUTECH participated in the two-day Indus RAS Expo, held at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad, from 22–23 July, 2026. Organized by the National Technology Fund (Ignite) under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), in collaboration with the National Centre of Robotics and Automation (NCRA) and the NUST College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (E&ME), the expo served as a national platform to promote Pakistan's robotics ecosystem and accelerate the adoption of autonomous technologies. The event was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, COAS Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, federal ministers, policymakers, representatives of defence organizations, industry leaders, researchers, universities, startups, investors, students and technology professionals.

At the expo, NUTECH highlighted its commitment to academic excellence, applied research and technology driven innovation by showcasing a range of advanced solutions designed to address contemporary industrial challenges. A major attraction at the University's pavilion was the Magic QC Machine, an innovative quality control solution developed to enhance manufacturing efficiency, improve product quality, and support Pakistan's textile industry's pursuit of higher export standards. Among the other projects displayed were an AI-powered Quality Control Systems, Application of Vision AI in the Manufacturing Industry and the Safe Eye – Smart Entry & Exit Management System, demonstrating NUTECH's growing expertise in artificial intelligence, computer vision, industrial automation and smart technologies.

NUTECH pavilion attracted considerable interest from industry professionals, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, researchers and students, reflecting the University's expanding role in advancing technological innovation and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. The enthusiastic response to its exhibits underscored NUTECH's contribution to developing practical, research-driven solutions that support Pakistan's industrial growth and digital transformation.
