NUTECH Delegation’s Visit to Karachi Enhancing Collaboration with Industries and Associations for Future Endeavors

A distinguished delegation from the National University of Technology (NUTECH) in Islamabad, headed by Registrar Dr. Syed Adnan Qasim, recently traveled to Karachi to investigate opportunities for future partnerships with various industries, associations, and educational institutions in the area. Accompanying the delegation were Director of Industry & Commerce Salman Zafar and Director of Research Syed Atif Ali. 

Throughout their visit, the NUTECH representatives engaged with key industry associations and organizations, including the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), the Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry (FBATI), the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), the Pakistan Sea and Export Association (PAKSEA), the South Zonal Office of the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association (PHMA), and the Towel Manufacturing Association of Pakistan. Additionally, the delegation toured the Vocational Training Institute in Korangi 2.5 and SUFA University Karachi. 

The discussions during the visit centered on identifying potential collaborative efforts between NUTECH and various sectors, with a particular focus on addressing the significant challenges confronting industries in Pakistan. NUTECH presented a detailed proposal that underscored its ability to act as a problem solver for the industry, offering customized solutions through research, innovation, and technological advancements. The university’s extensive expertise was highlighted as a crucial resource for bridging the divide between academia and industry. 

Prominent representatives from the institutions and associations visited expressed optimism regarding collaboration with NUTECH. They recognized the university’s proactive stance in addressing industry challenges and commended its commitment to promoting growth through academic excellence and partnerships with the industry. These associations also emphasized the importance of such collaborations in fostering sustainable development.
