To increase awareness of the prevention of breast cancer and its early diagnosis, NUTECH organized a Breast Awareness Talk on 16 Dec 2022. Dr. Tahira Sadiq as a guest speaker briefed the participants on cancer’s growth process, risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnostic, screening tools, and treatment options. She suggested lifestyle modification including daily exercise to help reduce the risk of breast cancer. She also demonstrated how to perform a self-examination every month so that the slightest change can be detected easily. This useful Breast Cancer Awareness Talk gave insight to female students on the benefits of early detection of and how to regularly self-examine for breast cancer. This useful awareness talk concluded with an interactive question & answer session.

Islamabad – 25 Nov 2022

M. Akash Kashif was invited a Guest Speaker at NSDD on 25 Nov, 22. He is an Alumni of NUTECH NSDD and presently, running his own business as an Entrepreneur after completion of course at NUTECH. He has his own brand and is the CEO/Director of a Boutique in Rabi Centre, Islamabad. The lecture was very motivational for the students as he is a self-built person and has established his own business after doing certification from NUTECH.

Allama Iqbal day was celebrated at the National University of Technology with national zeal and fervour to pay homage to Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal on 24 Nov 2022. The students enthusiastically participated in the event to pay tribute to the “Poet of the East”. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Iqbal’s poetry and speeches on Iqbal’s life. DG Skills Maj Gen Raza was the chief guest. The event was aimed at creating awareness amongst our young generation about the role and services of Allama Iqbal for Muslims of the sub-continent in getting a separate homeland. In the end, the Dean of Student Life and the Director NSDD distributed certificates among the participants.

Islamabad – 15-18 Nov 2022

International Defence Exhibition and Seminar, IDEAS 2022 is being organized from 15th –
18th November 2022 at Karachi Expo Centre (KEC). IDEAS 2022 exhibits a wide variety of
Defence systems and showcases the technology of tomorrow and innovations in Defence
systems. The National University of Technology (NUTECH) is taking an active part in the
exhibition. NUTECH is presenting at the expo in which research projects/products like
Advanced Ballistic Solver, ICU Grade Ventilator, 3D Printer, Wind Speed Assessment
System, Ballistic Solver Device for Tk VT4 and Sniper Rifle are being displayed. During this
activity, the contacts established with various industrial/commercial entities by the NUTECH
team, will greatly facilitate NUTECH’s future engagements with the Defence industry in
terms of international and national collaborative ventures.

Islamabad – 14 Sep 2022

NUTECH Skills Development Department (NSDD) achieved another milestone. Graduation Ceremony of NIVATS students was held at NUTECH on 14 Sep 2022 for the Third Batch of Computer Graphic (Motion) and First Batch of Fashion Designing and Machine Embroidery students. In this regard, at the opening remarks, Director NSDD apprised the audience about the journey of these successful students and their job employment after completing the course. The Chief Guest, Lt Gen Moazzam Ejaz (Retd), HI (M), congratulated the students and appreciated the hardwork of NSDD team in enhancing the student’s skills. At the end, Rector NUTECH and Pro-Rector, Maj Gen Khalid Javed, distributed certificates to successful students. On this occasion, Principal NIVATS Miss Sadiya, faculty members alongwith students and their parents were also present. The ceremony concluded with the group photo of shining graduating students.

NUTECH Dean of Students Life (DSL) Department organized three-day Spring Gala from 31 March – 1 April 2022. This colorful festival not only aimed to bring forward students’ teamwork and leadership qualities but also gave them an opportunity to showcase their creative side. On the first day, students participated in arts exhibition where their artwork and creative paintings were displayed. On the spot, sketch competition and games like Minute to Win It, Ludo, Chess etc. were part of the gala. Second day comprised of Bazm-e-Adab, Bait Baazi and motivational talks. Open mic café was also part of the gala on the second day where students displayed their talent through various creative performances on stage. On the third & last day of the event, students setup different cultural stalls, showcasing their cultural dresses and various touristic sites. These cultural stalls beautifully displayed the rich culture of Pakistan. The students enjoyed delicious food, which were available on different food stalls at the gala. Chief Guest of the day, Rector NUTECH Lt Gen (R) Khalid Asghar, alongwith Pro-Rector Maj Gen Khalid Javed witnessed the different stalls of the students and appreciated the hardwork. At the end, Rector congratulated the organizers for making this event special and creative. The spring gala 2022 ended with prize distribution ceremony.
